In May 2025, SSHIL has submitted its plan to SEBON for approval to issue an Initial Public Offering (IPO) consisting of 21 lakh ordinary shares at a face value of NPR 100 per share, totaling NPR 21 crore. This is a landmark event in the company’s journey as it invites general public participation in its ownership for the first time. The IPO is expected to significantly strengthen SSHIL’s capital base, pooling resources for future investments. It will also increase financial transparency, accountability, and encourage greater public involvement in the energy sector. Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited has been appointed as the Issue Manager, ensuring a smooth and professional IPO process.
Analysts expect the IPO shall draw significant interest from both institutional and retail investors. Generally, Investment Companies’ IPOs in Nepal have historically been oversubscribed, reflecting strong demand by Public Investors.
